Program Manager

  

This position if for someone who is passionate about startups and being at the forefront of innovation in Canada, this is a fast paced management role overseeing the coordination and execution of TNBTs signature fellowship program. This position is best suited to an energetic, entrepreneurial-minded, organized, and hands-on program manager who is capable of bringing all the details of the Fellowship program together in a timely, clear, and energetic manner.    

As the Program Manager you will report directly to the Managing Director, work with TNBT staff, Entrepreneur in Residence, Investor in Residence, and Coach in Residence, together developing a master schedule and curriculum resource for the national program.

Your role is a critical part of TNBTs goals in delivering a kick-ass program to young entrepreneurs from across Canada. You will have close interaction with fellows from across Canada throughout the program. Overall you have strong relationship building skills, you are organized and you like to roll up your sleeves to get shit done!

 

Specific duties include:

  1. Activity/event coordination & management: A key responsibility of the role is to coordinate and manage the internal and external activities of the fellowship program, everything from maintaining a master schedule to resource documents to booking rooms to coordinating speakers. These would include key program activities such as internal workshops, seminars, sessions, and educational components with TNBT partners, external events (conferences, talks, etc), entrepreneurial pow wows, and community events. Part of this role will also be supporting on the organization and management of the annual Spark event, Investor Presentation and Showcase.

  2. Program Partner Management: Partners are a big part of the TNBT Fellowship, and it is the Program Manager who will be responsible for maintaining specific relationships with our programming partners in Vancouver who may include corporations, educational institutions, entrepreneurs, and facilitators.

  3. Communication: As the Program Manager you will communicate directly via various channels (in person, email, slack etc.) to the TNBT Fellows about all aspects of the program including program schedules, workshop and seminars, program feedback and tracking, mentorship and other opportunities. It is important that your communication skills (written and verbal) are excellent, clear, and concise, with a bit of personal flare.

  4. Program Tracking & Success Metrics: You will be responsible for tracking program components on an ongoing basis including metrics and feedback.

 

Experience

●      Minimum 2-4 years professional experience in program or project management with specific hands-on experience developing and managing program activities/calendars with a diverse group of individuals and/or experience building a startup

●      Familiarity and experience with the startup space, technology, lean startup, and non-profit environment is a big bonus.

●      Background developing and maintaining relationships with program partners  

●    Excellent verbal and written communication skills across platforms

●      Exceptional digital aptitudes, including online products and platforms such as Asana, Google Docs, GoToMeeting, Skype, Excel, Slack, Dropbox, DocuSign etc.

 

This role full-time based out of the Vancouver state of the art Hootsuite offices. Salary range is $50-$56K depending on experience.
